3. Account & Billing Policy
This Account & Billing Policy explains how subscriptions, payments, trials, cancellations, and billing-related matters are handled on Ecombaker.
By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy.
3.1 Subscription-Based Service
Ecombaker operates on a subscription billing model. Access to certain features requires an active paid subscription.
Subscription plans, pricing, features, and billing cycles are displayed at the time of checkout and may vary by plan.
3.2 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Ecombaker does not store, process, or retain credit card or payment method details
- Payment information is submitted directly to Stripe and handled according to Stripe’s security and compliance standards
- Stripe may store payment methods for recurring billing as permitted by the user
Ecombaker only stores non-sensitive billing metadata (such as subscription status and plan identifiers) necessary to operate the Service.
Note: If we change payment processors in the future, we will notify users and update this policy accordingly.
3.3 Free Trial Periods
Some subscription plans may include a free trial period.
During the trial:
- Users receive limited or full access as defined by the plan
- No charges are applied until the trial ends
- Plan switching is not permitted during the trial period
At the end of the trial:
- The subscription automatically converts to a paid plan unless cancelled before the trial ends
- Billing begins immediately following the trial expiration
Trial eligibility is limited to one per user and may be modified or revoked at our discretion.
3.4 Plan Changes
3.4.1 Plan Switching
Users may upgrade or downgrade their subscription only after the trial period has ended.
Plan changes:
- Take effect according to the billing cycle rules
- May result in prorated charges or adjustments handled entirely by Stripe
3.5 Billing and Renewals
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan).
By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to:
- Automatically charge the payment method on file
- Renew the subscription until cancelled
Failed payments may result in :
- Email notifications
- Service interruption or downgrade after a grace period
- Account suspension
3.6 Cancellations
Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their account dashboard.
Important cancellation terms:
- Cancellation prevents future renewals
- The subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- No refunds or credits are issued for unused time, remaining balance, or Stripe account credits
We strongly recommend cancelling at least one (1) day before the next billing date to avoid unintended charges.
3.7 Refund Policy
All subscription fees are non-refundable, including:
- Partial billing periods
- Unused subscription time
- Remaining credits or balances associated with Stripe
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Account cancellations
- Downgrades or plan changes
- Dissatisfaction with the Service
Exception: Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in cases of billing errors or technical issues preventing Service access.
3.8 Site Availability After Cancellation
After cancellation or subscription expiration:
- Access to paid features may be restricted or removed
- Your website or store may be taken offline at any time
- Data retention is not guaranteed beyond thirty (30) days
Users are responsible for backing up their data prior to cancellation.
3.9 Taxes
Subscription fees may be subject to applicable taxes based on your location.
Taxes, if applicable, are calculated and processed by Stripe.
You are responsible for any additional taxes or duties in your jurisdiction.
